The most interesting thing I learned about Operations is how much they actually do. In addition to creating such a good quiz...they have to maintain & oversee almost all of the daily activities that are required to make CCPL function properly. Plus they let me know that as of 2006 there were 60 billion email transactions Every Day!

Contact us now is a service that is staffed by CTR, where patrons can email a question & receive a response. Questions range from information desk questions to book reservations. Having worked in CTR I have had the experience of answering the email questions that come into CTR.

AskUsNow is a service that provides 24 hour reference coverage 7 days a week. CTR helps staff the AskUsNow service along with other Library Services through out Maryland. This service is great for people doing last minute research or homework long after the library & school have closed.
